Digital Electronics Lab

Now-a-days everything is becoming digital whether it is an invertor , UPS , TV or any electronic gadget. To expertise in digital world this lab is very helpful where students can perform practicals on gates (AND , OR , NOT , NOR & EXOR , NAND ) Half adder / Subtractor , Flip – Flop ( R-S, D, J-K ) , decoder drives 7447/744 PIC , 7 – Segment LED display , Tristate gate IC – 7412b , Encoder / Decoder , Multiplexer / Demultiplexer, Shift registers , Universal Shift register , Ring Counter , A to D convertor and D to A Convertor.

We have individuals rooms for each lab.

1 ) Basic Electronics Lab :

In order to introduce the students with basic components of electronics this lab is furnished with advanced CRO’s , function generators and digital multimeters. Students can perform practicals on P-N junction diode , Zener Diode , rectifiers and filters , transistor biasing and their characteristics in different modes , RC coupled amplifiers and FETs .On completion of all the practicals , the student will be be familiarize with basic components are their characteristics.

Electronics Devices and Circuits :

This lab makes students accessible with the analog electronics components. With having basic knowledge of electronic components , students can explore themselves by making and testing their characteristics with two stage RC – coupled amplifier, Push pull amplifier, emitter follower , wein bridge oscillator , Phase – shift oscillator , Hartley & Colpitt’s oscillator , IC 555 as stable , monostable vibrators , op – amp as invertor adder , subtractor and integrator. Also clipper , clamper circuits and 3 terminal voltage regulator. And of course the lab is well equipped with advance CRO and function generators.

Principles of Communication lab  :

This lab is equipped with the latest 30 MHz ‘Caddo’ and CRO with LCD display for easier calculation and frequencies. Students can be familiarized with amplitude modulation , frequency modulation , modulation indexes, DSB – SC , FM – detector, Foster Seelay Ratio detector, Sampling theorem , PAM , PPM , PWM , Quantization noise , Delta modulation and demodulation.After completing the practicals,the students will be well known with the basic concepts of communication.

Elements of Electrical and Electronics Engg. Lab :

In this lab students get knowledge of electrical as well as electronics equipments such as ammeter , wattmeter, voltmeter , multimeter , SCR , Steppor motor etc. We have panels for performing test on three phase motor and starter with fuser. Panel for connection of single phase induction motor kits for performing / drawing V – I characteristics of NPN transistor , thyristors and zener. Apparatus / Panel for connection and reading of electric energy meter. Students get basic knowledge of domestic wiring system including distribution board , stepper motor , servo motors which is helpful in their daily life. Students do earthing practices i.e. measure the earth resistance with the help of earth tester.

AM Lab

Applied mechanics lab is the basic lab for the mechanical engineering students. Applied mechanics lab of RIMT Polytechnic is equipped with all the latest equipments and accessories in which all the basic operations of simple machines are performed to find out their % efficiency for that the college has given a setup for this lab. The inclined plane apparatus and screw pack apparatus are also provided in this lab so as to analyze the different forces which are acting on the bodies. Here the students are taught to find C.G. of regular and irregular polynomials. Verification of the reaction at this supports can also be found out using simply supported beam apparatus.
