| What is JET ? | ||
| Introduction | ||
| JET
refers to Joint Entrance Test conducted by the Board
in the month of May/June every year for screening candidates
for admissions to various diploma courses being run in the institutions
affiliated to the Board. The result of JET is generally
declared within one week of the conduct of the JET. The syllabus for this
test is broadly based upon the syllabus as prescribed for Matriculation
Examination (i.e. 9th and 10th classes) of School Education
Boards. |

Candidates
who qualify the JET are eligible for admission to various courses offered.
This admission is based on the relative merit of the
candidates in the JET in their respective category. Reservation shall
be as per reservation policy given by Government of
Punjab/UT Chandigarh. The Board makes admissions to 28 Engineering
diploma courses in 43 institutions spread throughout Punjab and Chandigarh
through Central admissions. |
